Halo Infinite Multiplayer Released Early

Halo Infinite itself isn’t fully out yet, but that doesn’t mean players have to wait until December 8th for their Halo hookup. The Multiplayer got a surprise early release and right now it is open for all to play. And to top it all off, all progress will be carried over to the full release.

How are the Halo Infinite multiplayer Maps?

There are a total of 10 maps available at this time in Halo Infinite. There are 7 for the 4v4 quickplay like a Bazaar, a hydroponics station, and an urban city. But there are another 3 specifically for the Big Team Battles which are massive 12v12 arenas. One even has a massive artillery cannon in the center which fires periodically and can interact with the map. All of the maps have many avenues to travel through and have a lot of life to them, making them stand out from each other.

Halo Infinite’s visuals also are incredibly clean, even the darkness has color to it. And the best thing to see is the giant artillery gun to fire off and watching the night get lit up in a flash of redish orange light.

Weapon changes

After Halo 5, 343 industries decided to cut back on the amount of weapons. And that isn’t bad for the game, it will help in the long run with balancing. There are a total of 22 weapons in the multiplayer of Halo Infinite, many of them new. For fans of the other games in the series the staple AR returns and is quite good. But a lot of the other familiar guns are a little different, like the new pistol called the sidekick. Replacing the magnum from prior games, this one hits a little softer but fires and reloads quicker.

But there are new guns like the cinder shot, a laser guided grenade launcher. And the Skewer, a single shot ballista that shreds vehicles and spartans alike. There are many more to experience and you should hop in and feel them out yourself.

Closing remarks

Halo Infinite may not be fully out yet but the Free to Play multiplayer is the perfect thing to hold fans over. Not only that but it is a great move to draw in new players and get them to feel it out. The gunplay is tight and responsive with plenty of options in and out of a gunfight.

Halo Infinite’s full release is on December 8th 2021, but until then enjoy the multiplayer for absolutely free on PC and Xbox.
